Movie365 Online Streaming Websites Digital Risk

Researchers have warned users about the dangers of free online movie streaming sites like Movie365. These sites could allegedly collect information without a site visitor’s consent. Based on reports, these websites offer access to the latest movies that movie enthusiasts often access.

Site owners developed these websites to lure individuals to visit and check their latest movies. However, the primary objective of these websites is to gain profit by hosting ads that will attempt to acquire personal data from unknowing users. In other instances, these websites could release malware that could infect the visitors.

Movie365 and other similar streaming websites employ identical strategies for harvesting troves of data from unsuspecting individuals.

According to investigations, popular free movie streaming websites like Movie365 often require users to complete a survey or enter their email addresses or phone numbers to continue watching the pages’ contents.

Subsequently, the site owners could sell the collected information to third-party advertisers for targeted marketing campaigns. Some of the streaming websites mainly offer pirated movies.

However, a separate researcher suggests that personal information is not the only data at risk in these campaigns since most websites also hold ads containing malicious code or phishing attempts.

These strategies could trick users into providing critical data such as credit card details, which could result in fraudulent activities.

Furthermore, Movie365 could also exploit social media platforms to attract visitors and increase webpage traffic. These websites post clickbait subjects and descriptions of the latest released movies, series, and TV shows. Once a user clicks, the clickbait link will redirect them to the website. Subsequently, these websites will prompt users to enter credentials and complete a survey to access the free movies.

As of now, cybersecurity experts suggest that users should refrain from visiting websites that offer free content, such as the latest movies and streaming services. These sites provide free products, but they could collect their profit by gathering information through surveys.

Users should only go to platforms with legitimate streaming services rather than accessing malicious websites that could compromise user data.
