Joker DPR played a massive role as a hacking group for Russia

The pro-Russian hacker group, Joker DPR, has become a critical Russian attack force member during the ongoing geopolitical conflict in Ukraine. The group is notorious for numerous cybercriminal campaigns that target crucial information from the Ukrainian military and government websites.

The group also aided the Russian government in disseminating its propaganda on countless social media platforms.

Joker DPR’s claims of coordination with other Russian hacktivist groups, such as Sprut, Killnet, Beregini, and Limma, show the possible coordination with the Russian state. Lastly, Beregini has recently supported a Russian influence mission, while Killnet has indicated an interest in coordinating with the current Russian administration.

Researchers explained that the Joker DPR would remain engaged in cyber espionage and propaganda operations that could worsen the situation in Ukraine.
